Guided Tour of the Generalife Gardens and the Alcazaba of the Alhambra

The Alhambra is not limited to its palaces. The Generalife and the Alcazaba are two distinct areas that allow a complete reading of the monumental complex without the need to enter the Nasrid Palaces. The first was the retreat palace of the Nasrid sultans, a space of gardens, irrigation channels and Mediterranean vegetation built on the slope of the Cerro del Sol with direct views of the palatine city. The second is the oldest part of the complex, a 13th-century military fortress from whose Torre de la Vela you can overlook Granada, the vega and Sierra Nevada in a single panoramic view.

Our tour starts at Paseo de la Sabika, just 100 meters from the main entrance to the monument, with an expert guide in Nasrid history in groups of up to 30 people. The route also includes the Palacio de Carlos V, the circular-plan Renaissance building set on the Alhambra hill, unique in its style within the monumental complex. We offer the service in Spanish and English, and also in French, German and Italian with a minimum of 8 participants in that language.

• The Alcazaba: the oldest military area of the Alhambra, with panoramic views over Granada and Sierra Nevada from the Torre de la Vela.
• Palace and Gardens of the Generalife: the summer palace of the Nasrid sultans, surrounded by gardens of Islamic landscape architecture with fountains, cypresses and flowering beds.
• Palacio de Carlos V: the imposing Renaissance building set on the Alhambra hill, unique in its style within the monumental complex.

Practical information

• Meeting point: Paseo de la Sabika 15, next to Hotel Guadalupe, 100 meters before the main entrance.
• Documentation: It is mandatory to present an ID card or original passport to access the monument.
• Footwear and equipment: Comfortable shoes are recommended. In summer, bring sun protection.
• Languages: French, Italian and German require a minimum of 8 participants booked in that language; if this minimum is not reached, the tour will be conducted in Spanish or English.
• Tour order: It may be modified according to instructions from the Patronato de la Alhambra.
• Ticket: It is necessary to keep the ticket throughout the entire visit.
• Accessibility: Not suitable for wheelchair users.

- Cancellations made more than 60 days before the date of the activity will incur a charge of €8 per person for administrative costs.

- Cancellations made within 72 hours of the activity are non-refundable. We recommend checking availability and confirming the date before completing your booking.

- This activity allows you to cancel or modify your booking up to 72 hours before the start date. For cancellations made between 59 days and 72 hours before the activity, a €23 per person administration fee will apply.

• Nature of the service: The customer acknowledges that this reservation constitutes a management order for the acquisition of nominative tickets before the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife. Since the service begins immediately after payment and is linked to a specific date and time for a recreational activity, the right of withdrawal of 14 days does not apply, in accordance with Art. 103, paragraphs a) and l) of the TRLCU.
• Schedule management: THE COMPANY reserves the right, depending on the actual availability of tickets issued by the Monument, to adjust the schedule of the visit (guided or self-guided). An adjustment of up to [6] hours from the initially requested schedule will be considered an acceptable adjustment. If the necessary adjustment exceeds this margin, the customer may choose to accept the new schedule or request the termination of the contract with a full refund. By making this management order, the customer expressly accepts this schedule flexibility linked to official availability.
