Description
The night visit to the Alhambra is a radically different experience from the daytime one. Without the daytime traffic, with artificial lighting tracing the Nasrid ornamentation against the silence of the night, the Nasrid Palaces reveal a dimension that the morning visit does not allow. The play of light and shadow on the plasterwork of the Court of the Lions or the scale of the Comares Tower take on a different presence when the monument is reduced to a small group and to the voice of our expert guide.
Our night tour passes through the most emblematic spaces of the Nasrid Palaces with a guide expert in Nasrid history who combines the architectural and artistic reading of each room with palace intrigues, dynastic rivalries and the legends that have survived for centuries around the monument. The group has a maximum capacity of 30 people and the service is available in Spanish and English. Tickets are included in the price.
What you will see
- Court of the Lions at night: The most renowned work of Nasrid art under night lighting, with the play of light and shadow on the fountain and the columns as the central element.
- Comares Tower: The political heart of the Nasrid palace, where the sultans received ambassadors and took the decisions that shaped the history of the Kingdom of Granada.
- Illuminated Nasrid ornamentation: Plasterwork, mocárabes and Quranic epigraphy of the Nasrid Palaces seen without the daytime bustle, with time to pause at each detail.
- Legends of the Alhambra: Palace intrigues, rivalries of the Nasrid dynasty and historical curiosities explained by the expert guide in the very setting where they happened.
- Reduced night format: The Alhambra with a limited number of visitors, without queues and with an atmosphere that the daytime visit cannot offer.
